In what has been described as one of the the most important by-elections ever held, Labour's rookie candidate tries to hold on to this crucial seat for the Government.

The film follows Labour candidate Lindsay Roy and follows him on his his uphill struggle to defeat the SNP who are predicted to win. During a seemingly disorganised campaign in the lead up to election day, the Labour party shows nerves in what is ultimately a tense battle in between them and the SNP.
