Eastern Edge Film Fund 2009-2010

2010/11 Fund launched, deadline October 22nd 2010

Deadline for applications: Friday 22 October 2010
The fund aims to support emerging and experienced film-makers, living, working or studying in one of the three boroughs to produce an original short film. . Three to four grants with a maximum award of £2,000 - and a Student/Young Film-maker Award of up to £1,500 - are available. The award includes free professional support from an Executive Producer, training from industry professionals, free access to production facilities and opportunities for public screenings. One film is usually selected from each borough to take part in Film London's 'Best of Borough' (BoBs) competition, which in previous years has been held at BAFTA. As Executive Producer on The Eastern Edge Film Fund, Anton works with the film fund panel to support new filmmakers taking their first steps into independent filmmaking.


Congratulations to 2008 Eastern-edger, Matt Compton, and his cast and crew on "Bubbling Under" for winning the Limelight Award 2010 for Best Sci Fi/ Horror film.
